Although many people will state
that they don’t like to shop, at one point or another,
everybody has to admit that shopping is fun.
There are several reasons that shopping can be
fun, and, although often people think that they
couldn’t possibly enjoy such an excursion, there is
usually something for which they enjoy shopping.
The government of Dubai, located in
the United Arab Emirates (UAE), is aware of this trend,
especially in tourists, and is making use of the
information to capitalize on it.
Dubai City is full of malls, with two more set to
open in the next 2-1/2 years.
Shopping is fun for the whole family, in one way
or another, and Dubai offers different types of shopping
to please everyone.
The Mall of Arabia, set to open in
2008, will be a huge tourist center, built to please
anyone who’s idea of a good time is to browse hundreds
of stores. Surpassing
the Mall of America, which has over 500 stores, the Mall
of Arabia will certainly be a dominant attraction for
the shop-a-holic. It
will offer more than just shopping, though.
It will connect to Dinosaur World, the
animatronic theme park that is part of Dubailand, the
Disneyworld of the Middle East.
Another place to visit, if you
think that high-class shopping is fun, would be the Burj
Al Arab. The
world’s tallest hotel, and the only sever-star hotel
in the world, you must pay 200 (Dubai currency) simply
to get through the extremely high security.
The deposit is nonrefundable but can be used to
buy drinks and food within the hotel.
Inside this grand structure, decorated with solid
gold, you’ll find expensive trinkets and treasures to
purchase as keepsakes.
Dubai offers plenty of shopping fun
for tourists, with enough souvenirs that everyone is
guaranteed to find the little item to purchase that will
remind them of their exciting shopping trip to Dubai.
