Dubai, one of the United Arab
Emirates (UAE), is quickly becoming a prime tourist
attraction, undertaking projects of unprecedented size
in an attempt to fuel their tourist economy.
The many attractions in Dubai are diverse and can
draw people of all interests from all parts of the
world.
For those who like to admire
architectural genius or engineering design, the
underwater hotel, Hydropolis, is an unrivaled
engineering feat, as well as a beautifully sculpted
piece of art. Emaar
Properties has undertaken the construction of what will
be the world’s tallest building upon completion in
2008 (the Burj Dubai), sure to be a popular attraction
in Dubai, and the Burj Al Arab boasts being the tallest
hotel in the world (as well as the only seven-star
hotel).
One attraction in Dubai, the Dubai
Waterfront is a project that will build a maze of canals
weaving through manmade islands full of hotels and
residences, boasting 500 miles of manmade waterfront.
Dubailand, also currently under construction,
will be an enormous theme park based on the idea of
Disneyworld containing several theme parks, the Mall of
Arabia (the largest mall in the world), a zoo, and
several other destinations that will keep tourism
hopping.
Within Dubailand, one attraction in
Dubai that has already partially opened is Ski Dubai,
the indoor ski resort that boasts real snow year round
in a comfortable temperature right at the freeze line.
Another attraction in Dubai is its many malls.
Dubai City is full of some of the largest malls
in the world and, upon the opening of the Mall of
Arabia, Dubai will be a shopper’s Mecca.
The attractions in Dubai continue to grow in size
and number, and before you know it, Dubai will be
another popular tourist resort, rivaling the likes of
Paris and the Caribbean.
